Chapati Upma
This is a dish by using left over chapatis. A very good option while travelling, for breakfast and for lunch box. It tastes yum and healthy too.. Try it 😊

Chapati Upma
Yield: 2-3 servings
a tasty snack or breakfast prepared using leftover chapatis and vegetables. This ia a tiffin box recipe.
Ingredients:
- Leftover chapatis (I used 9 chapatis, cut into 2 inch strips. U can roughly tear it)
- Onion (finely chopped) - 1
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Tomato (finely chopped) - 1
- Green chillies (chopped) - 2
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Asafoetida - a pinch
- Curry leaves - 1 sprig
- Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
- Coriander powder-1 tsp
- Red chilly powder- 1 tsp
- Cumin powder- ½ tsp
- Garam masala powder- 1 tsp
- Amchur powder - ¼ tsp
- Sugar - 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Lemon Juice - 1 Tbsp
- Coriander leaves (chopped) for garnishing
- Oil- 1 tsp
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida and curry leaves. Let them crackle.
- Add onions and fry till translucent. Then add ginger garlic paste and saute until raw smell goes off.
- Now add green chillies and tomatoes and fry until its mushy. Now add turmeric powder, chilly powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, amchur powder, garam masala and salt and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Now add the chapatis n sugar. Sprinkle little water and mix well. Cover with a lid and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add lemon juice and mix well. Remove from heat.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve. :)
Notes:
Add chopped veggies of your choice to make it more healthy.
