Chicken Lemon Pepper
This dish was prepared by my hubby for veg noodles yesterday. :) From chopping to cooking, everything was done by him except plating and clicking d pic. :D
Here is the recipe.

Chicken Lemon Pepper
Yield: serves 2 person
a yummy chicken side dish that goes well with fried rice or noodles.
Ingredients:
- Chicken – 500 gms
- Chicken stock powder – ½ tbsp
- Onion (sliced) – 2 medium
- Green chilies (slit) – 5
- Bay leaf – 1
- Cinnamon- 1” piece
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Black peppercorns – 5-6
- Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Red chili powder – 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
- Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
- Vinegar - 1 tsp
- Soy sauce – 1 tsp
- Green chili sauce – 1 tsp
- Spring Onions greens (chopped) – 2 tbsp
- Lemon juice of 1 lemon
- Salt to taste
- Sugar – ½ tsp
- Oil – 2 tbsp
Instructions:
- Marinate chicken with lemon juice n lil salt. Set aside for 15 mins.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add bay leaf, cinnamon, cumin seeds n peppercorns and fry till u get a pleasant aroma. Add green chilies n fry for a while.
- Now add onions, lil salt n sugar. Fry till golden brown. (Adding sugar while frying onion gives caramelized taste).
- Add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder n black pepper powder n mix well.
- Now add marinated chicken, chicken stock powder n give it a stir. Cook it by covering the lid for 15 minutes.
- Once done, add vinegar, soy sauce n green chili sauce and mix well. Check if chicken is cooked. (check for salt as well. Add if required).
- Cover the lid and cook for 5 minutes on a low flame. Once done, switch off the flame.
- Garnish with spring onion greens n wedge of lemon.
- Serve hot with rice or noodles.
