Mixed Dal Dosa/ Mixed Lentil Dosa
Lentils are considered to be powerhouse of nutrition. They are rich in fibre, high on protein and good source of calcium and minerals. It improves digestion. and its also low in fat and loved by weight watchers.
Here is a simple,easy and healthy recipe of mixed dal dosa with veggies.
Mixed Dal Dosa/ Mixed Lentil Dosa
Yield: makes 15-20 dosas
a healthy dosa with lentils and vegetables
Ingredients:
- Toor dal - ½ cup
- Chana dal - ½ cup
- Moong dal - ½ cup
- Masoor dal - ½ cup
- Urad dal - ½ cup
- Soybean - fistful
- Moong - fistful
- Fenugreek seeds - ½ tsp
- Ginger (grated) - 1 Tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying dosa
- Vegetables of ur choice (finely chopped) for garnish (I used carrots, babycorn, fenugreek leaves, onion, green chilies, coriander leaves)
Instructions:
- Soak overnight, all the dals with soybean, moong and fenugreek seeds with enough water.
- Next morning, grind these into a smooth paste. Transfer to a bowl, add salt and ginger and mix well. Add water if consistency is too thick. (Consistency must be neither watery nor thick)
- No need to ferment this. :)
- Heat a dosa tawa. Take a ladle full of batter and pour on the tawa, spread a bit and sprinkle veggies over it. Put oil around the dosa and cook it covered for few minutes.
- When one side is done, turn d dosa and fry until other side is done.
- Do dosas in the same way with remaining batter.
- Serve hot with Mint chutney or Tomato sauce.
